Tuesday.

About 26k into Scattered Tribes 4. Brain wanted to reread Giles 1 and 2 so we could circle back and finish that series (5 planned) at some point, just to get them out of the can and earning rent. Figure 3 next or in September.

Got a barbecue planned this weekend, so busy cleaning, prepping, and cooking meat. Turned a pork butt into 5 pounds of kielbasa and 6 pounds of italian sausage. Those got cooked yesterday and will be reheated as dogs and charcuterie. Brisket defrosted today to cook. Hamburger to defrost and turn into burgers. Cheese to slice, because I bought a foot-tall cylinder at the restaurant store. Pork was already cooked over the weekend and will be warmed up and lovely.

Even made a gallon of plum wine. Dunno if I distill it Saturday or not. Still got the blueberry rum.

Kinda percolating along at the moment. No great things, save the annual bbq, so everything kinda mellow and level. Books to write. To edit. To plan. To read for research. Nobody ever buys the Red Branch books, but I enjoy writing them and the amount of research I have to do keeps the brain deeply engaged, which is what you need to keep from losing it as you age.

What are you doing as you age in order to stay in shape: emotionally, intellectually, and physically?

Entropy is a bitch. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Fabulous Publisher Babe™ hired a British artist to do the cover branding and design for Season Two of Corsac Fox, since #8 is done and going to kickstarter next spring for summer release. Got a lot of those, but needed to finish off a bunch of things before I dive back into Uly and Dan. Holden. Harri. Giles. Belle. Sasha. That’s just the first layer, mind you. The immediate tasks.

I have a number of book ones in series that I need to write the rest of. Or more of. Giles. Scour. Cloning Blues. Flight Officer Brannon.

Because of stuffff, I had to update a list of all the books I had published. The original doc ran through 2017. I might have been a bit busy since then.

Running into 2027, the list is around 250 titles, not counting any of the anthologies, which I still need to document. Been busy. Hopefully, can keep busy.

At this point, I am unemployable as anything but a stocker in the grocery, more or less. Don’t wanna be people facing. Wanna write.
